Living From Love: Toys for my Toy-box

I have had the honor and privilege of being with people as they cross the bridges of 2 of the most profound rights of passage of life: birth and death. The rawness, the sheer vulnerability of these times opens portals for us to the sacred, to the divine. They are times where we can go one of two ways. There is a divide in the road. One road feels traumatic, pain and suffering. And the other is of love and grace. We choose. I choose Love. We start to set up patterns and so from the beginning of time are either coming from painful memories or from inspiration. There is another bridge that we can cross as a right of passage and we can cross it at any time. It is called the ‘letting go and trusting' bridge.

My gift to you is sharing with you some of the ‘toys' that allow me to playfully cross the trusting and allowing bridge. Toys rather than tools. Tools are associated with tool boxes and work and being hard. Toys are associated with play, toys for your toybox to play with. And it is in reconnecting with and allowing the beautiful child within us to guide us across the bridge. The bridge is what connects us from our head to our heart, we can either take the adult path which takes us, on journeys of experience in the outer world as we search out there for what we finally realize is found within. Or we can sit at the top of the slide in the playground of our mind and with the glee of an innocent child, let go and with ease take the ride of our life playfully home to our heart. The journey home is available to us in every moment and is as simple as gleefully sliding from our head to our heart.

So there is a question to be asked: Who am I?

i am is always the playful part of us with in the I AM i am.

Lets pause for a moment: Who am I?

It can sometimes feel like we are so disconnected from ourselves that we cant answer this question. If you have lost touch with the child within then maybe you don't know. When we are in tune , in alignment with the child within we are in alignment with the divine.

It is the child within us that is our guide to reconnecting with our source.

Lets look at this bridge of trusting and letting go. On one side of the bridge is limitation, lack, fear, holding on tight, expectations, pain, suffering and disconnection with self and source. On the other side of the bridge is alignment with self and source, peace beyond all imagination, open heart, clear mind, it is a playground of inspiration.

A question for you. If you went somewhere you had never been before and you wanted to find the best playground in town, who would you ask to guide you: an adult or a child?

A child is the only one that can guide you home: you are the one.

i am

I AM

The i am within the I AM

And the child is me and the child is you.

So how does our  inner child communicate to us if we feel disconnected? Through the outside world. Our inner child or subconscious what ever sits with you, records everything and stores every joy and every pain. And in an effort to in every moment connect with you and give you an opportunity to come home to you, replays experiences, do you know the feeling, different day, different person, same feeling, similar experiences.

Your child you is re-acting out in every moment to connect so that her/his pain and suffering can be released. They are wise and know that the likelihood of something coming into our conscious awareness spontaneously is miniscule,  so as all kids do, they play, pretend I will try showing you this way, didn't work, so the next day they try showing you another way, and on it goes, they are amazingly patient. This child is crying out from love. I love you, I am sorry, please forgive me, thank you.

Can you see the link now, we either come from painful memories which block our connection with source or we come from inspiration where we are connected to source. Your inner child is both your guide and your gate keeper. How could it be any other way. Spirit is light, playful, it will always be a child who brings us home. When we have children we often think we are here to teach them and to fill their empty vessel with wisdom, how far from the truth. It is the child who teaches us to empty and let go and come home to wisdom.

Have you ever noticed that kids know exactly how to push your buttons: they are a highly tuned instrument, in every moment guiding us to where to heal and love and come home to ourselves.

In crossing the letting go and trusting bridge we move from the limitations of intention to the playground of inspiration where we get to experience the sweetness of divinity.

I invite you to play with these toys to love what ever comes up and see life through a child's eyes.

Know that your toy-box is with in you with all of the toys to bring you home.

I invite you to reconnect with the little girl or little boy within you and remember what experiences gave you joy as a child.

Ask yourself are you incorporating these experiences in you life now, if so, go forth and play, if not I invite you to incorporate them and allow yourself to play.

Like the dynamic of the child and adult you may have come here today feeling like I was going to teach you something, for me I have learned so much. You are giving me an opportunity to come home to deeper levels of me. I am so grateful to you for this. Thank you.

What do you choose, the longest journey of your life- searching externally, or the shortest journey of your life internally from your head to your heart, the letting go and trusting bridge is a slide of ease and grace from your head to your heart. I choose Love.
